vegas noob here. working on a workstation someone else uses. no
manual available. the timeline seems to be in a default to sub-
frame editing. is this a preference, or is this vegas’ only edit
mode? i’d love to have the timeline default to one frame increments
rather that the way it is, with the increments based on the zoom
level. can anyone help me get this set so a right/left arrow will
default to always landing on frame breaks?

    thanks,
    BabaG

for anyone else with this issue:

    options—–>quantize to frames

that toggles snapping to even frame breaks.

You answered your own question before I could ….

You can switch Quantize to Frames on or off (sometimes it’s good to switch it off for fine audio editing) from an icon above the toolbar. To put the icon there,
Options / Customize Toolbar – locate the icon in the left habd panel and click Add->

For the record, Quantize to Frames is ON by default.
