Hi! I’d like to ask in how I could properly subdivide the face of a text that I extruded. As you know when a spline is extruded in cinema 4d the face remains having only one division or it just becomes an n-gon this what happens everytime i extrude vector shapes or text. I tried going to the caps and making it triangular, regular grid, and etc. but the divisions are in shambles I need to subdivide the face because I want to use it as an object in the cloner tag. I hope you can help me. Thanks!

Thanks Brian for the reply. I was trying to use the knife tool but the lines are not equidistant some of my slices are bigger apart some smaller is there away to make the distance of my knife cuts equal?

in the Knife tool’s Options set the number of Cuts to higher than one then set the distance between cuts with Spacing or check off Slice and the number of Cuts is evenly spaced over the width/height of the object

Hi Brian I can’t seem to find the options for the knife tool that you are saying when I click on the knife tool the options that comes out are restrict to single, selection, select cuts, only edges, visible edges, and create-n-gons there’s also the snap settings tab.
