I have a several long interviews I need to create subclips for. Each interview is shot with 2 cameras with different timecode. I have been using the multiclip method in FCP 5.02 and made the subclips from the “A” camera becasue in multiclip mode I couldn’t make a subclip. How can I have both cameras “A” & “B” in my subclip?

You could create multiple multiclips would be easiest I’d think. One for each “set” of subclips. Then edit them into a sequence en masse…

i’m guessing its not possible to sublip a multiclip, at least i haven’t figured out a way to do it.
how about create a synced tc using aux tc 1, then switch your active tc source for those clips to the aux tc 1 field.
that would make it much easier for creating your multiclips based on tc (its based on the active tc source), especially if you need to create multiple multiclips for the multiple subclips

i guess you could also revert to using matchframe and timecode by the same method

    hope it helps

oops, too hasty with the post …. maybe the owners of this ranch could add the ability to edit our own posts??

anyway, multiclip’s tc matching is not based only on active tc, but the the clips can be synced to the aux tc fields in the make multiclip dialog

    cheers
