I am a bit of a novice with Premiere Pro, so I’m hoping somebody will easily be able to help me.
Why is it that when I import video into Pro that it stutters, skips and sometimes freezes for a few seconds in my monitor screen.
My projects are DV PAL standard 48kHz (as I believe is correct for the UK), and mot of my imports are mpeg2 video.
I’m guessing I’m doing something very naive. Please help!

    Thanks,

    Jules

Editing Mpeg files is typically problematic. Suggest converting your source video to DV first. Drop an entire clip on the timeline and Export> Format= Microsoft AVI, Preset= PAL DV. Then import that for editing.
