My specs are up tp AVID standards but from the moment I switched from XP to Windows 7 I’ve had constant stutering playback and I can barely get any edits down. I’m getting all those red, blue lines on timeliens.

When I was running MC 4.0.3 on Windows XP I had zero stuttering playback issues.

Here are my current system specs:

OS: Windows 7/64bit; OS Hard drive: 160 GB Sata; Software: Media Composer 5.0.3, CPU: Intel P-4 930 3.0Ghz Dual Core; Memory: 6G, Motherboard: Asus p5B Deluxe/WiFi AP; Video card: NVIDIA QuadroFX 560 Video card driver: 8.15.11.9038; Sound card: I think it’s from Microsoft called High Definition Audio Device; Quicktime: 7.6.6

My current specs is essentially the same as when I was on XP except for these two items.

    – On XP I had 3G

    – My sound card was soundMAX. I think the Windows 7 upgrade automatically wiped this out, I can’t find it.

What can I do to solve this problem as I figured if my system was running fine on XP, it should be running better on the upgrade since the only way to up the memory is with Windows 7 64bit.
