I have a scene that slowly pans right, so I set x position key frames to slide the video layer until it disappears off screen. However, the movement is very stutter-y. I just rendered it out to see if it wasn’t just the preview that does it, and it’s not. I don’t think it’s a framerate issue. Does anyone know what causes this?

It looks okay to me. Doubling the frame rate would be the first thing I try. You could also switch on frame blending during the render.

I didn’t notice much either, but I’m on a phone right now.

The speed of the comp and the description you provided reminded me of issues I had when making scrolling credits. I did a quick search and found this site. http://endcrawl.com/blog/why-are-my-end-titles-jittering/

Hopefully this puts you on the right path. I wish I could provide more insight but that project was 8+ years ago. It’s all about math and making sure the speed of the comp.

Thank you, Daniel! I will try that! In fact, I didn’t know frame blending was a thing, so this is will be helpful to me. Oddly, it’s looking ok to me on Youtube as well. But on Quicktime it’s a different story.

Thank you for this resource, Chris! I’ve had this issue with scrolling credits too. The funny thing is that I’m noticing it less on youtube, as well. It is far worse when I play it back in Quick time.
