Stuttering motion effects problem
I’m having a problem with a still image slideshow i’ve created in FCP 6. I used many motion effects (slow scaling, rotation, movement) like the “Ken Burns” effect. I exported project as Quicktime movie (DV NTSC) and when played on dvd all my motion effects, including basic transitions (cube spin, zoom, cross zoom) and motion paths all stutter. I’ve done this kind of thing before with an iMac G5 using FCP 4.5 and never had this problem. All effects were as smooth and fluid as when watching on canvas in FC.
With my new computer, Mac Pro and FCP 6 these motion effects and transitions are not at all smooth and fluid. It can best be described as what an unrendered video effect looks like. You can see the “step-like” movement as still images zoom, move or are in transition. It really looks horrible and i’m nervous as this a project for someone else.
Is there anything i can do in the export process or change settings in preferences that will clean this up and export exactly what i’m seeing in the canvas when working with my project?

Maybe your bit rate for encoded video is set too high?
