Strange problem in 4.5. We’re trying to migrate to 5.1, and so we’re doing our last bit of mastering. We were on Cinewave cards, and we’re going with Kona LHe for the future.

Anyway, so when we try to export to Quicktime PNG, all the stuff that’s regular DV video comes out fine. The stuff that was produced in AE and exported to the Targa cinewave codec for real-time playback… does not export correctly from FCP. It’ll freeze a frame randomly. There’s no point at which it could be called motion… it’s frozen frames for a couple of seconds, maybe 5 or 10 times through the whole 30sec spot.

Anyone ever heard of or that problem? Thanks for the help!

If you watch the AE movie in quicktime, does it freeze?

    How full are your drives?

What else do you have hooked up to your machine?
