  Stuttering effect on pan and tilt shots

  Hi, I am new to editing so please forgive me if I dont explain myself properly. I have shot some H.D footage on a Sony HVR Z1E (PAL)and successfuly imported it into Final Cut Pro using Pro Res 422 and have edited the final piece. The problem is that all the shots which contain pan or tilt movements seem to stutter, almost as if each frame is trying to catch up with itself. I exported the edited piece and made a quick time self contained movie and then dropped it into idvd. On watching the movie back on a 42″ t.v the stuttering appears even more pronounced. I have probably done something wrong at the import stage but not sure what. The raw footage when plyed from the camera is fine. Any tips, hints or advice would be much appreciated.
