Stuttered, Jaggy Playback, Dropped Frames
I experience Stuttering, Jaggy Playback, Dropped Frames since Premiere Pro CS5 64-bit – since I have upgraded the PC to Core2Quad Q8300, Geforce GTX 275, various HDD drives, SSD drives too.
The problem occurs only when Windows Aero is On.
After researching the forums I have found no solution and just used edited without the Aero – not a big deal 🙂But now I have upgraded to Windows 8 and there’s no way to turn off the “Aero” skin, it’s built on it though the windows aren’t transparent.
I have 2 monitors but even disabling the 2nd, the problem still occurs.
The Stuttered, Jaggy Playback, the Dropped Frames occur with any video file. I’ve tried Quicktime, AVI, MXF with sizes up to 100×80, same thing – occassional stuttering.
The windows was reinstalled many times, 4 Gb of RAM was added (now 8)The problem is sooo old, that I have no idea what to try (if there’s anything left).
One more thing since the new driver release 306.23-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql, Premiere Pro is crashing in both Windows 7 and 8 after loading the project. I had to roll back to v301.42 and disabled auto-update.
I think the problem is with the Asus PCI-E GeForce GTX275 896Mb,448bit, DDR3 (ENGTX275/2DI/896MD). Are you agreed?
Currently I can’t buy GTX 580 for 300$ or GTX 680 500$ (appartment loan), I hope to find some solution with your help or will have return to Windows 7 with Aero off 🙁
