Stutter on Playback after render
Not sure if this is a 10.5.7 thing or not. Running FCP 6.0.5 Just got this 8 core last week. I have some pict files that I am flying across the screen. When I render them out there is a stutter in the render as if it is rendering the same frame twice some times. I have the motion filtering set to best. It is a pro rez 720p 59.94 sequence. I have tried other compressors like changing the seq to DVCPROHD and HDV and still get the odd motion. But different frames stutter. Output to the NTSC monitor via BMD HD Ex3 looks fine. Not all files however are jerky. The odd thing is that the same project/ sequence plays down fine on the clients machine. Not sure if he is running 10.5.7 or not.
When I export to a h.264 if looks even worse.
A side note. I am also getting underuns a plenty. For some reason on this machine my sata drives are running at almost half the speed as on my G5. Still 65mb Sec should be fast enough. Hmmm.
