stutter footage
Not sure if this is a dvdsp problem or FCP problem. I have some SD footage that was recorded with a canon xm2 and captured with a z1. The footage is in a 720 576i project in 16:9, along with some other footage that was captured in hdv but converted to sd for the project.
Having burned a disc in dvdsp the footage from the xm2 is stuttering but the other footage is fine. It only occurs on a TV and not a monitor with PC. I know that presenting things at a higher resolution than they were captured can cause problems, but I don’t think that is the problem here. Could it be an interlacing problem or the mpeg2 compression for dvd. not sure what effect a gop structure has on dv footage.
