We’re attending the Semi Permanent Event this week end. I’m jazzed about seeing Lobo. We’re up for suggestions for the remainder of the weekend. The new Moma is high on the list right now.

Dude, last time I was in the city we stumbled on a funky little place worth a visit. The Chelsea Hotel, is famous for putting up famous people like Bob Dylan and writers like Thomas Wolf. Stanley Kubrick wrote part of 2001 there. It was built in 1883, and they’ve kept the lobby intact. What makes it really interesting is the artwork from the edge. Crazy things hanging on the walls and on the ceiling, all over the place. It’s around 23rd street.

I recommend a sunset walk along the Hudson on the lower west side.
The city has done an elegant job revitalizing that area- it’s similar to the
beach walkways in Santa Monica. People bike and skate. You watch sailboats and
    cruise ships go by.

The “wharf” has grass and landscaping. It isn’t high above the water,
so when you’re up against the rail it feels exactly like being on a
    ship.
