I am thinking about using my jbl eon 15 speakers as temporary studio monitors so that I may finish a project I am working on. Are these a fairly acceptable temporary solution?

Well, try it and see…I’ve never been a big fan of EONs even for live sound (that is my primary skillset), but speakers designed for live sound are not nearly as accurate (read: flat frequency response) as purpose-built studio monitors.

I recommend investing in some Mackie HR824 monitors.

Hello Kenny and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum.

I’m in agreement with Jordan. You CAN use them, but I don’t care for the way they sound, even as PA speakers.
