    Hey Guys,

I’m doing a lot of lesson filming in a garage these days… maybe 12-14 foot celings. I have to light the sides and back of this garage.

A lot of what I will be filming will be wide angle shots that capture both my upper and lower body movement… this means that I need to get my damn background lights off the floor.

If you were going to attach a series of ceiling mount floodlights to light the background of every wall, what kind of lights would you use?

Ideally, these would double as gym lights… so it would be cool if I could dim them and then work out in there.

I’d like a tungsten light temp, and I’m willing to spend $1,000 if necessary.

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions!

A grand isn’t going to do much. It limits you to fluorescent tube light troughs and clamp-lights from the home/hardware store. Sounds like you want a permanent setup, but if it’s just for one time, a grand will rent you better gear than you can afford to buy for that much.
