Stuck XKR cable in K3Box
Posted by Warren Eig on March 15, 2008 at 9:43 pmAnyone have this problem. I can’t get a Male (Input) XLR cable out of the AES/EBU connector of the K3Box. I actually have undone the cable so just the metal portion of the cable is in the box and the actual cable is free.
Is there a problem with AJA’s build of the K3 Box?

Kind of sounds like it. We have two K3 boxes and one K2 box and I’ve never had an issue with an XLR cable getting stuck in one.

March 16, 2008 at 5:54 amNot a smashed cable. Now I have three XLRs stuck in the K3Box in three different in puts. I’ve managed to unscrew the housing and pull out the plugs and wire. Now three metal housing are stuck in three separate XLR in on the K3Box.
I suspect a bad box. My third one.

March 17, 2008 at 1:35 amAs a warning, superglue is NOT a lubricant. DO this once and BOY, will you remember.
You didn’t use that in this did you? WD-40 is a better solution.
