Stuck on Batch Capture with error message
Right now FCP 7 is stuck in the batch capture window with an error message that reads: “Tape Trouble. Check VTR. Do not attempt to eject tape or use transport without checking VTR first.” This happens every now and then and there is never a problem with the VTR or deck. I usually restart FCP and power on/off the deck and everything is fine.
The problem I am having is when I click “OK” on the error message, the message immediately reappears. So I have no way to access anything in FCP. I have logged 4 tapes worth of video and all I want to do is save the project before I quit out of FCP so I don’t need to relog all that footage.
Any thoughts?

Save the project file after you’ve done the logging and before you batch capture.
