    Hi there,

I’ve a problem in after effects, I want to create a glassy effect on a shape layer. So I create a white shape layer, i set it to “multiply” and i add the Layer style inner glow set to “Normal” to get the glassy effect i want. So far, so good.

I precomp my shape and import it to my main comp, I check the “continuously rasterize” option because my main comp is in 3D.

I want it to appear with a fade in. So i set my two opacity keyframe and here is the issue, the precomp is perfectly visible even if the opacity is set to 1%, i’m about to lose my mind huhu. Can you help me ?

(tested on macOSv10.15.3, after effects CC2019 and CC2020)

Lots of things stop working in precomps when you use continually rasterize/ collapse transformations. Sometimes the only workaround is to actually render the section out into a high quality format and import it as its own layer and add what you need from there.
