  strongly strobing pan on short dvd made on Toast from 4:3 mini-dv

  I used a recent version of Toast for osx on my g5 to make a 15 min. dvd from a qt file exported from final cut pro, with the original footage being mini-dv standard definition non-24p 4:3, and all panning shots that are not extremely slow have an extreme strobing effect on the dvd! Redone on idvd5 and dvd studio pro 3, the strobing effect is gone. What causes this and is there anything I can do about it? RIght now I only have access to Toast. I used the dvd-video setting, video quality set to high. I thought Toast was supposed to be at least as good as idvd..
