I made an animation that involves a completely random pen line, with the stroke effect applied. Then I animated the start and end points to get the noodle-ish line to fly around the comp… But I’m trying to find out if there is a way to get one end of the line to fade off instead of just ending… So it would be more like a flying dot with a trail, then a line…

    Anyone following me?

Perhaps try Vegas instead of stroke. I did this once where I made a comet with a trail.

    Vegas, Baby.

    Stroke: Mask/Path

    Segments
    Segments: 1
    Length: .05
Rotation: Set at 0x-12 degrees, then down the timeline
-1×0, fool with these numbers to get the look you want.

You get a nice tapered comet trail.

    Cool, that works…

Thanks for the quick (less than 10 minute) response, too.
