  Stroke reveal text with varying width

  Hi all.

  I’m adamant that I saw a post a while back answering this in some detail but I cannot find it for love nor money now. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

  Text reveal using mask path and stroke(s) – easy.

  However, if I am using a font which has varying widths throughout each character (script and calligraphy fonts in particular), how do I go about stroking the paths without leaving artefacts where the lines cross each other?

  I know you can’t adjust the stroke size over the course of the movement as it adjusts the entire stroke’s width but I’m sure I’ve seen a complex way to do this on CCow. Please could someone point me in the right direction?
