I am wondering how to taper off the stroke effect say at the end of a signature as the pen starts to lift of the paper. Any adjustments made to the effect to try and keyframe it, effects the entire stroke. I know I’ve seen something before, maybe with a different effect, but I can’t think of it. Would Trapcode 3D stroke give me any better results?

    Thanks for any help

I was using a mask and I didn’t see that option with the write on effect. I’ll look into using that instead. Any benefit to using the write on instead of using a mask? Other than being able to control the stroke properties a little better lol. Just curious.

    Thanks for the response Dave

Aharon Rabinowitz has a great 2-part tutorial on animating a signature.

That’s actually where I started but he doesn’t talk about tapering the stroke.

    Thanks
