    strobing icons?

    I’m trying to figure out the best way to do this:

    I have a row of 8 icons. Every 15 frames, I want the icons to change. I was thinking about creating a comp with a different icon on each layer. The layers are sequenced every 15 frames. Then I was thinking about using that comp as a particle in a grid particle emiter.

    Does that sound right? I think I saw Brian Maffitt do something like this with an image sequence of a cat running as a custom particle.

    Trapcode Particular was the answer. I messed with the settings for a few hours and got something close to what I wanted, so I’m moving on.
