We just bought another Imac 21.5 inch computer with the 3.06 dual intel processors with 4 GB of RAm. We installed Final Cut 7 on the computer. We setup mac for HDV download of clips for 1440 x 1080 I-60. All the clips we playback stobe on the HD monitor and on the final cut window. Camera was set to HDV on recording with no special settings. I have another system exactly like this one and it works great. We changed out the mac mini dvi cable and even tried a new dvi to hdmi cable to the hd monitor and we tried another HD monitor, but it still strobes–

We even took the Imac back and replaced it with a new one and we are still getting the same problem…All the settings are right on Final Cut -PULLING FINAL HAIRS OUT -HELP

[Tim Fleming] “All the settings are right on Final Cut -PULLING FINAL HAIRS OUT -HELP”

How do we know that? Why not list all the clip/codec settings and all the FCP sequence settings.

[Tim Fleming] “dvi to hdmi cable to the hd monitor and we tried another HD monitor,”
So you are just using Cinema Desktop in FCP so the HDTV monitor is just being feed the computer DVI signal?

Have you referenced your original clips to see if the problem is on the tape? Or, tried to recapture after double checking your settings?
