Newbie Luke here.(using Movie studio Platinum 9b)
I have shot the same scene with two cameras and want to isolate each audio track and each video track. One audio track is superior.I have used Sound Forge to make a copy of the audio track but there is still an audio tarck attached to the video. I just cannot work out how to do it. can anybody enlighten me please?

Select the track with the audio you don’t want, and hit the DELETE key.
    Done.

Thanks , so how do I then save that imagery that remains so i can use bits of it over the good audio?

Why not put the footage with the good video and bad audio in the trimmer and then select just the video?

Thanks Guys, you put me onto the right track, so to speak. Firstly there’s nothing like reading the instruction manual more than once, BUT it helps to know what sort of terminology to look for.

You can UNGROUP in both the trimmer and on the timeline if you want to separate audio from video, then you just delete whatever you don’t want if in the timeline or just select what you want to insert from the trimmer…snap! (if you have ungrouped the timeline, it pays to regroup pretty soon after the edit or you will probably loose it).

Thanks to everyone who even thought about this. I used to edit with Final Cut when I was employed and now I’m a bit rusty since retiring.
