    Stripping Away Tracks Before/During Transcode

    I am trying to find the most efficient way to remove audio tracks from a clip.

    Currently we use 8 channel XDCAM discs, transcode to 8 channel DNxHD 120, then edit. This results having to deactivate 6 of the 8 channels during editing, which is repetitious and I’m hoping avoidable.

    I’m an Avid novice, and can’t see an obvious way to strip out unwanted tracking during or prior to transcode.

    Can anyone suggest what to look at or even provide some steps?
