    Hi all,

I have a flat surface which has a material with a high specularity. I also have a tube light. When the light catches the surface I see a spherical highlight ? I had expected that using a tube light would render a wider “tube” of light across the flat surface instead of a circle with falloff. I hope this is clear.

Is there any way to get around this or is there another way to get a smooth shean (like a diagonal line) across the face ?

    Cheers,

    Andy

My only thought is to use the reflection channel instead of specularity and make the tube light visible so it is actually reflecting the tube itself.
