    Hi,

I want to stretch a few clips horizontally in my FCP7 timeline. What effect can I use that’s included on FCP7? I know i accomplished this many years ago, but i can’t remember how i did it. The aspect ratio doesn’t work well, i also tried distort in the motion tab but that doesn’t work right either.
I want to make the video/image look wider, but not squashed or flat.

    please let me know.
    thanks

    Scale + aspect parameter

Oh just to clarify, the kind of stretching i am looking for is similar to the “free transform’ function you
find on Photoshop, only this would be on FCP7.

“wider, but not squashed or flat”

    how is that possible?

“similar to the “free transform’ function you find on Photoshop”

in the canvas, tun on IMage & Wireframe (one of the drop-down menus top of canvas)
holding SHIFT, grab a corner of the wireframe and manipulate it.

it’s basically adjusting Aspect and Scale, but i a more direct way
