Hello everyone! I’ve been trying to do this stretch text effect for the longest time, and I’ve tried to search for tutorials on how to create it. I can’t seem to find anything, so I was wondering if any of you know how to do this.

It starts at 30 seconds. I know it’s a random video, but the part where the “YOU” stretches out.. that’s what I’m trying to create.

In the video, the word “YOU” at the 30 second mark.. where the person says “You piece of cake.”
I’m trying to learn how to create the animation of stretching the text.

Try using the Sony Deform plug-in on the text. That will do exactly what you want.

John, open my ZIP of the Video I supplied. I used Deform over time. I wanted our chum here to confirm if this was good enough. I also used a judicious application of Track Motion and Shear from within the Text Gen.

I went back to my T/L to re-remind myself too! I should’ve made my comment a statement of fact – my bad!

Yea I saw the track motion and thought that just animating deform would work too. There are probably several ways to shear text in Vegas Pro.
