Hello, how could i apply the squash and stretch effect to a Lathe Nurbs? I know your are supposed to make it a child, and if you had a cube for example you would divide it into several segments and then apply the tag. I have tried to make the lathe nurbs object editable and then apply several cuts on all 3 planes, however when i move the factor tab, all it does is move the object up and down, no stretch or squash effect.

I’m not sure how to get this one. If anyone could help me i would be grateful:)

You don’t have to make the Lathe editable. Like other deformers, the S&S deformer will work on an object if it’s the child of the object *or* if it’s a sibling of the object. So in this case, put the Lathe Nurbs and the deformer inside of a null as siblings and it should work.

I see, that’s interesting to know, however my problem was that it’s not S&S-ing. When i fiddle with the ‘factor’ control, all it does is move it up and down, here is a video i uploaded showing it:

As you can see it’s not squashing nor stretching.

Did you adust the top and bottom parameters so they coincide with the top and bottom of your object?

Ah, when i introduced the S&S it didn’t tick my mind that i had to place it where my object was, i left it at the default origin spot, i was really dumb at this one. Thank you for taking the time to help me out 🙂
