    Hi Vegas Users,

I’m trying to learn to stream video over the internet. Do you first render your video to a .wmv, do you need to purchase Squeeze 4.5 Compression or is there another way to compress the video within Vegas6. Any information will be appreciated.

    Thanks

You can certainly render to .wmv, H.264, mpeg1, mpeg2, etc. directly from Vegas.

You can do WMV in Vegas. Quicktime Pro runs $29.95. You can get several flash programs cheaper than Squeeze. I use a program “Flash Video MX” that is very easy to use, costs $49 and not only creates the flash file but writes an html file so it can be played immediately and more easily be integrated into a website. There are some free programs that are supposed to convert to flash but I have not tried those.
