Stream vs. Download
Posted by Joe Murray on January 15, 2008 at 5:29 pmI’m delivering some H264 edits online. In the past people have been able to download them for comfortable viewing but this option is now greyed out and they can only stream them. I don’t know what has changed. Any help most welcome. Thanks JM

January 15, 2008 at 7:23 pmWhen is it grayed out? When it’s viewed in a browser and right clicked on in the quicktime player?
If so, you should be able to just do a save as from your browser’s menu. I do this with Firefox loading quicktimes (A link directly to the file) all the time. Not sure about other browsers.
If you were talking about something else then I misunderstood the question.

January 15, 2008 at 8:17 pmAs far as streaming goes, I’m under the impression that if you want to stream Quicktime, the server you use must have the ability to stream Quicktime -yes? I know many ISPs that stream Windows, but not many in our area that have QT streaming servers. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
