Stream Error in Log and Transfer
Hi board,
I’m encountering an error when I try to import some footage for an FCP project. I’m running FCP 7.0.3 on a new Mac Pro, OS 10.6.5.
Up front, I don’t know what kind of camera they shot this on. Will find out later this weekend.
The video type is .MXF, if that helps.
I open up log and transfer, and I can see the clips – their name, duration, etc all look correct. The thumbnail is even present. But the clips won’t play in the preview – it says preview unsupported for this format.
And when I drag a clip down to transfer, the status ball spins for a moment then stops and turns into a red stop-sign with an exclamation point. When I hover over it, it reads “Stream Error.”
Looking over the board, I’m not seeing a solution that works for me. I’ve tried changing where I save the new clips to the same drive as where the media is coming from. I’ve tried changing my preferences by clicking the box for “Remove Advanced Pulldown and Duplicate Frames.” I’ve tried turning off Perian. I’ve deactivated all my fxFactory plugins.
I’d appreciate any thoughts!
