Under edit>stream>stream 1 what is this stream? I don’t understand what it is streaming or what its use is for. Can anyone explain?

This is referring to the Video stream and Audio stream that is contained within a media file. Some files have more than one audio stream (like 5.1 Surround) and can also contain multiple video streams.
