Ok so this is really strange to me. I have both an XH-A1 and an HV30. When I switch the HV30 to 24f, record and then capture using Vegas 8 or premiere pro, everything captures just fine. However when I shoot 24f using the XH-A1 and then attempt to caputre the footage, it comes out as multiple files for every second of footage. So I have hundreds or thousands of .m2t files. This happens in Vegas 8 and Premiere Pro on the PC as well as Premiere Pro on the mac. The only program that has captured it ok was Final Cut Pro.

This is the same scenario with footage captured on the XH-A1 whether I’m going from the A1 itself via firewire into the computer or pull the tape out and put it in the HV30 to capture to computer. So it has something to do with the way the A1 is recording the footage to tape.

But there are no capture issues at all if I shoot 30f or 60i on the A1.

Anyone ever seen this problem? Solutions?
