Hi guys, I’m in a bit of a jam and can’t find an answer anywhere on the web. I built a butterfly in element 3D with semi transparent wings for a project and for the life of me can’t get a strange white fringe around the matte to disappear. Short of turning off matte shadows which causes other issues or cranking up the alpha threshold (which makes the semi transparent areas disappear). The matte is perfect and even trying to choke it just moves the fringe. (attached example).

I even simply rendered out a photoshop still (premultiplied and straight) and it still fringes, so it’s not a child comp issue for the wings.

I expect I’m missing something very simple here so if you have any ideas, thanks in advance!

If not, thanks for looking anyway!

    Cheers,

    C

If choking it moves the fringe, it sounds like it’s outside of the Element plugin. Do you have any effects on it that might be disrupting it? (like Colorama. that one always gets me).
