    I have been working on getting some video files FCP compatible. They are from a terrible Memorex point n shoot “7-in-one HD camera”.

    I exported the h264 as .mov files, resized to SD.

    Now I have them in fcp, not needing any rendering to playback, which is what I was shooting for.

    Problem: When I add a transition to the clips, This is what it looks like, mid-transition in the viewer:

    I have no idea what is going on, and I have never seen this happen.
    I will admit though, I have minimal experience with HD footage, but when I did work with it, it did not do this before.

    What codec did you export the files as? DV or. .mov contains any sort of video.
