Using Kona 2 and FCP 5.0.2, my captured clips show incorrect timecode…two frames offset from what’s actually on tape. I routed the SDI super output from the DBeta into the Kona 2, and consistently, the timecode in my captured clips is two frames ahead of the timecode on tape. i.e. where the tape timecode shows 59:45:15, the captured clip shows 59:45:17. This is not simply a drop/non-drop issue as far as I can tell. Capturing from the same section of the same tape via analog component with the IO LA, the timecodes match exactly.

All equipment is receiving the same sync signal, and the entire rack has been timed by my engineer. Anyone else seen this issue? I’ll be doing some more tests and checking in with AJA tomorrow.

Have you tried changing the capture offset by 2 frames, in audio/video settings?

While your at it I’d check the accuracy of your timecode going out to tape. Check the playback offset in the device control.
