  • Strange selection behaviour when expanding audio / video

Is anyone else experiencing strange selection behaviour when expanding audio / video (ctrl+S)

Let me explain what’s happening to me…

Sometimes, but not all the time, when expanding the audio / video, the clip that was selected stays selected and you can’t select anything else….until you use the keyboard shortcut again to collapse.

Double-clicking with the mouse will not collapse the tracks either. But doesn’t seem to happen all the time.

Also when the audio / video tracks are expanded, I have found that you have to drag a VIDEO effect onto the AUDIO track before the video track highlights white and let’s you apply. But selecting the video clip and then double-clicking the effect in the browser will work.

Anyone else had this?….or is it just me and the old fatfinger syndrome rearing it’s ugly head again? 😉

    cheers,

    Brendan

I have had it randomly stick on a clip and not be able to select anything else until you fidget around for awhile. I haven’t found a work-around.

Seems to be just another bug…

FCP 7 is like running track barefoot while FCP X is like running with steel toed work boots covered in cement.

I experienced something similar when cutting a short yesterday, but I figured it was cause I was working on my laptop and had a bunch of other apps running.
Are you using proress? what kind of machine are you on?
