After re-opening a concert that I cut I am having some strange problems. Some of the footage appears black in the timeline. When opening the movies in quicktime I get an error message that reads, “an illegal movie atom has been found”. This footage worked perfectly so I am very confused as to what the problem is. The files are still about 2 gig in size so they have not been deleted. Someone please help. Hopefully the entire project is not lost.

And in which of the hundreds of video formats would these movies be?

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

DVCPRO HD. Shot on an HVX200 using a Firestore.
