    Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has seen this error:

Every time I launch System Preferences and click on the Apple Qmaster icon, I get the following message:

“To use the “Apple Qmaster” preferences pane, System Preferences must quit and reopen.”

As long as I keep the system preferences window open, the error doesn’t return. But if I quit and relaunch, it comes back!

I’ve tried the usual suspects, running “CompressorRepair,” repairing permissions, rebooting, etc, all to no avail. My user account has admin privileges.

running FCP 6.0.6, SL, 2.8 Quad core Intel Xeon

    Thanks,

It’s not an error, it’s due to the fact that System Preferences must relaunch in 32-bit mode for non-64-bit preference panes. It’s completely normal.

Ah, thanks Alan, that makes sense. I just switched to booting in 32 bit mode, so it makes sense that I only started seeing this message now.

    Cheers,
