    Hey all.

We’re experiencing a strange issue when we are up-rezzing footage in our AVIDs from ProDiscs via XDCAM. For some reason, when it prompts for the next disc to find the next piece of high-res footage, the AVID doesn’t see that a new disc has been inserted.

Windows does, however. We found a work-around by basically forcing the AVID software to “notice” the newly inserted ProDisc by clicking FILE > Import XDCAM Proxy… and canceling out once it “finds” the disc. Then, right-clicking on the timeline in the bin and choosing “Batch Import” works just fine and dandy.

Before this, we were ejecting the disc and inserting it over and over and over until AVID finally saw the disc and imported the clips.

Is this a known issue? Are we missing something obvious? Don’t get me wrong: I’m grateful we found out about the “Import XDCAM Proxy” option under file, but it seems like we’re tricking the system when it should be doing all this by itself.

    Any experience with this problem?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
