strange problem capturing HDV in FCP 6
I am trying to log and capture a bunch of clips using FCP 6.0.2 and a Sony HDV deck. I am using the appropriate HDV easy setup, but once I have all of the clips logged, then I go to batch capture and the capture looks fine for the first clip, and at the bottom of the capture window it says that it is capturing – everything looks normal – but when the capture is done the clip stays offline. I have tried with a bunch of different clips and I am getting the same results. This system was working fine before and I have tried a different firewire cable and port on the computer with no luck. Any suggestions?

trash your preferences.
it’s really amazing how many little odd issues it fixes
when they crop up.last week my capture window became full screen for no
reason and stopped working. trashing prefs. fixed it.
