  • Strange multiple bin issue

Posted by Peter Curran on July 20, 2016 at 4:35 pm

I’m having this very strange thing happen when I open a new bin. The first time i open a new bin, its fine. When I open a second bin it creates 2 new tabs. When I open a 3rd bin it creates 4 new tabs. When I open a 4th bin it creates 8 new tabs etc etc.

Here is a video to better demonstrate what I mean:

Has anyone had this issue before?

    I’m running cc2015.3 on an iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, Yosemite 10.10.5

    Thanks,

    Peter

Same problem here… sounds like a bug with cc2015.3 Very annoying!

I’m getting this too. Very annoying when I open a bin in a new tab and have to close 15 extra tabs that are created!

Only started happening with cc2015.3. Is anyone using cc2015.3 and not having this issue? Could it be related to the operating system? I’m using mac os 10.10.5 like OP.

Seems strange that this obvious bug didn’t get picked up.

The best workaround seems to be by using ‘open in new window’ and then manually dragging the window to form a new tab.

The problem still exists in 2015.4 which I downloaded today (on Windows 10)

I thought I could get around it using the existing keyboard shortcut panels/project panel/delete (backspace) but it doesn’t do anything so maybe it doesn’t work on a bin panel – only on a project panel (isn’t that the same as the top level bin ?)

I reported this weeks ago. It gets difficult to keep things straight as it is with my simple projects. I can imagine what a pain it must be for you all.
