    So, I’m making a watch gear and have the base and outer teeth brass and the center is stainless steel. Only the brass material is spilling into the stainless (as you can see); they are separate objects. You can see the stainless showing though in the lower areas; problem is that I don’t want any brass showing in the top teeth or pin at all.

    Any ideas?

    sorry, can you post the file (or the part with the problem), I don’t have enough info other than to say so much depends on how it’s constructed that it’s easier to just see the file

    well I could post but I figured out the problem. WOW! Talk about a brain fart, in order to set up for uv-map I duplicated a hypernurbs and forgot to turn rendering off for my back-up…dang.

    yeah, it looked funky enough I thought I wan’t going to be able to tell unless I saw the scene but it’s a good reminder for the ‘two objects in one space’ look
