    Hi all,

I got a very stange problem here. On one of our AE 7 machine here, it renders out stuff with some strange lines on it, but the same project will render out fine on another machine. It seems to me that the lines appear at the edge of some resized layers which have alpha channel. The strangest part is everything looks all good in preview but the lines only appear when render. I’ve been using AE for many years and had never seen this before… Maybe someone could point out where my mistake is.

    Hey, Stanley-
With stuff like this, there are two things I check right away:

    1. Footage/Files Interpretation – are all of my video and graphics files interpreted correctly in the project?

    2. Render Settings – This is more likely the culprit. Check your render/output settings to make sure you’re rendering appropriatley for your project. For example, should fields be ON/OFF, UPPER/LOWER, etc.

    Just my two cents…

    Cheers,
    Jason

Thanks for the reply. The ovelay layers are CG renders with alpha, no fields. What’s strange about this is the project renders prefectly on other machines but not this particular one. I’m gonna reinstall AE and see what happen.
