    Hi,

I’m having an unusual problem with FCP5 and the Kona2 ver. 1.1.2
When I go to “edit to tape” the control window that pops up has what looks like a strange feedback loop in the window and on output through sdi. However when I drag the sequence I want to edit to tape into the output window I am able to edit to tape with no problem. It’s really just an inconvenience but I’d prefer it didn’t happen.
Anyone else have a similar problem?

All sync loops etc are fine and nothing is feeding back into itself.

    Cheers,
    Linc

This is a very “normal” FCP thing. What I always do when I open edit to tape is I immediately click on the viewer window. You will notice that the edit to tape window shows you color bars with a black bar running through it that says “preview disabled”. You then drag onto this window.

I have tried other ways around this including putting the deck in PB mode vs EE but this has been the easist way to get rid of the little annoyance.
