I’m getting a strange problem when using videos that were transcoded using Premiere. After first testing the video in Windows Media Player, I import it into Encore and add it to its own timeline. No problem so far. I play the video in Encore from the timeline window, no problem. I then try to burn a DVD – still no error messages. But then I try playing the disc. Nothing happens when I click the menu button for that particular video, even though I know the button was properly linked to the timeline. Now I check it out in Encore again, playing the video from the timeline window. This time I get “Unidentified error.” I have to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to close Encore.

Basically, the video works fine until I get to the burning stage.

I’m using Encore 1.01. The reason I transcode videos in Premiere is because when I do it in Encore I sometimes get an “Invalid requested time” error. I am also using in this project some videos that were successfully transcoded in Encore, with no problems.

I’m about to try uninstalling & reinstalling Encore.
