    Hi,

I am using since quiet a while a Apple Swiss Keyboard, which worked completely fine for many years.
But now, suddenly, the Delete key is not working anymore (only in FCP),
if I switch to American or even to French Swiss Keyboard it does.
Any idea where this weird behaviour comes from?

Even if I redefine the Key again in Re-Assigning the Buttons tools, still not working.

    Greetings,

Do you mean when you switch keyboards, to an American or French Swiss, it works? Or when you switch Languages in the Keyboard Preferences? If the former, then one would think there’s something wrong with the keyboard. Just strange that your Delete key works in other programs.

I recently bought a new Apple keyboard and the F10 key didn’t work for me in FCP, nor did Command Z (undo). I confirmed the same behaviour in other programs and returned it.

My specs: FCP 6.0.6, El Capitan, rMBP 15″ i7 2.6 GHz, 16 GB RAM

No, physically the keys are fine. When I am inside FCP and I switch my keyboard (In the Keyboard preferences) to American English or even French German, the Delete key works. Only in Swiss German, it’s not recognised, even though it is a Swiss German Keyboard.

10.8.4 – cause it works best with FCP 7.0.3 on a Hackintosh.
But it’s not iOS related but only inside FCP!

“the Delete key is not working anymore (only in FCP),”

i suggest you trash your FCP preferences.
