    Hi guys,

Wonder if you can solve this for me. When I import PMW200 XDCAM 422 footage via XDCAM Transfer onto an external hard drive, I am getting a weird colour shift when I import it into final cut pro 7.

I have no colour shift when importing into Premiere Pro and even tried another copy of Final Cut Pro 7 on a different laptop and didn’t suffer the problem . All other types of footage drop into my own laptop’s FCP7 fine.

The top image is how i see the image in FCP7 and the lower image is how I see the image in premiere pro and quicktime etc. Please help!

When FCP starts acting weird the first thing to do is trash the preference files. There’s a free program at Digital Rebellion that will to this task for you called Preference Manager. You can find it at the link below.

    https://www.digitalrebellion.com/prefman/

Try the program and see if this solves the colour issue.

I’ve done that to no avail. Bleugh! When I export a sequence with the funny colour shift issue, the export plays as normally (e.g. with the correct colours) in VLC/Quicktime etc.

Don’t really know what to suggest now.
